Agavni Baghdassarian was born on October 21, 1934, in Pireaus, Greece, the only daughter of Bedros and Mania Bedrossian and younger sister of Karnig Bedrossian. She was raised in Greece and married Hairabed Baghdassarian on Oct 2, 1960 in Egypt. Shortly thereafter, they moved to the United States to raise a family. They settled in the suburbs of New York City where they lived with their three children until they retired to Florida in the late 90s. Agavni was devoted to her family and gave selflessly of herself to ensure a better life for them. She is survived by her three children Dr.Bagdig Baghdassarian, Dr. Rosemary Mencia, and David Baghdassarian, Esq., and her six grandchildren Anoush Baghdassarian, Sophie Baghdassarian, Armine Mencia, Aram Baghdassarian, Taleen Mencia, and Antranig Baghdassarian.
