Agnes I. Monteith, 93, of Okeechobee, FL passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014. Agnes was born September 6, 1920 in Key West, FL. One of nine children of Charles and Agnes Thompson, she is the last of her generation. Agnes is a lifelong resident of Florida. She graduated from Key West High School in June 1939. On June 17, 1940 she married John B. Pittman. After John passed on February 19, 1950 Agnes worked two jobs to help keep the family. On April 17, 1953 she wed Thomas T. Monteith. Agnes is survived by her loving husband Thomas T. Monteith, a daughter Gail P. Dearing, 2 sons, Dennis W. Pittman and Martin A. Monteith, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members. Services will be held privately.
