

Alan Travis Johnson passed away on October 2, 2017 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Born in Liberty, TX on June 23, 1944, he was the fifth child of Minnie Ola Cain and James Alvie Johnson. An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, he met his future wife while stationed in Panama City, FL. This led to a permanent move to Fort Lauderdale where he had a successful dragline business. He was called into the ministry in 1995 and was President and Founder of Revelation Ministries sharing the gospel with music and drama locally and in Ukraine, Russia, England and Israel. Travis was a member of First Baptist Church of Oakland Park. He loved the Lord and loved sharing the gospel.
Travis was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Archie and sister Hazel. He is survived by his wife Sara L. Dew Johnson; his daughter Lisa Ann Johnson Furlong and her husband James Joseph Furlong, Jr.; his son Matthew Alan Johnson and his wife Kyle Taflin Hackett Johnson; granddaughters Sheyenne Marie and Mysteri Nika; sister Wilma McQueen; sister Minnie Dora Richardson and her husband Kenneth Richardson; and, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The viewing will be at Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 N. Federal Hwy., Pompano Beach, FL 33062 on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Oakland Park, 801 NE 34 Court, Oakland Park, FL 33334, on Saturday, October 7, 2017 beginning at 10 am with graveside services at Pompano Beach Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Revelations Ministries, Inc., 1881 North University Drive, Suite 107, Coral Springs, FL 33071.
