

She was born in Torrevecchia, Teatini , Italy January 30th1936, lived in New York and moved to Pompano Florida in 1998. She was beautiful woman of many creative talents from cooking to creating beautiful dresses as a tailor she embodied the Italian philosophy of “Fare la Bella Figure” (making a good impression). Anita enjoyed the simple pleasures of life especially her time by the ocean with family and friends.
Anita was married to Philip J. LaBarbera for 60 years who passed in 2018.
She is survived by her daughter Florie (Andrew)Friedman, son Frank (Susanne)LaBarbera, Grandchildren Danielle(Yoni) Malchi, Lisa(Daniel)Stern, Jonathan Friedman, Jenna LaBarbera, Michael LaBarbera, Great-grandchildren Anna Malchi, Julia Malchi, Eric Stern.
Anita was a loving wife, mom, grandmother and great -grandmother who loved to hear stories of everyone’s lives. She will be missed by family and friends who appreciated her wisdom and honest sense of humor.
A private funeral will be held for immediate family only.
