Anne was born on August 27, 1934, in Rochester, New York. She graduated from Holy Apostles School, Nazareth Academy and St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing. Anne was a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
Anne married Howard Crissy in 1956 and moved to Pompano Beach. Anne was an Operating Room nurse at Holy Cross Hospital. She later worked at Wynmoor Village and was also a private practice nurse. Anne and Howard were original members of Saint Coleman Catholic Church and stayed active in the parish throughout their lives. Anne volunteered at Saint Coleman, as a school nurse, and with ministry efforts including delivering meals and communion to the sick, and assisting in the Rectory. She also volunteered at Imperial Point Hospital and participated in various community charities.
Anne moved to the John Knox Village Community in 2003. While there she enjoyed breakfasts at local haunts with friends, travel and spending time with friends and her family. Anne will always be remembered for her quick wit and snappy comebacks, compassion for others, and devotion to family.
Anne was predeceased by her husband Howard; her parents Helen and Michael Boland; 3 sisters, Marion McBride (Andrew), Eleanor Meeker (Harold) and Barbara Blechinger (George); and 4 brothers, Thomas (Audrey), Jack, David and Michael. She is survived by 2 sisters, Margaret (Peg) Yazback (Anthony) and Katherine (Kay) Diraddo (Joe); brother-in-law, Robert Crissy; sister-in-law Irene Lissow (Frank); 3 sons, Paul (Roberta), Jack (Jen) and Mike; 2 grandchildren, Sophia and Michael; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home located at 200 West Copans Road in Pompano Beach on Monday, January 24th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Coleman Catholic Church located at 1200 South Federal Highway in Pompano Beach on Tuesday, January 25th at 1:00 p.m. Following the Mass, graveside services will be held at Pompano Beach Cemetery located at 400 SE 23rd Avenue where she will be laid to rest next to Howard.
