T-bone and I were the result of another historical meeting between the "nawth" and the south. He spent a lot of time telling me he didn't understand me and I talked funny. To which I prompt replied "you heah funny"... and we never stopped laughing for well over a quarter of a century. Anthony is the poster child of the consummate
Patriot, soldier and an example for all. His Army career was unrivaled and the love and respect of all soldiers within his companies showed what a true leader he was. He and I served side by side during Hurricane Andrew with him often getting little or no rest as ProcurementOfficer for the relief efforts. Possibly that is where he contracted cardiomyopathy which ultimately resulted in him getting a heart transplant in August 1993. His heart worked great for almost 20 years. Yes there were some bumps along the way but he never stopped smiling his beautiful smile. Anthony is my steadying influence and he called me his "old hippie" and we together experienced life through each others eyes. The love we have for each other cannot be matched and in the words of the late, great country singer George Jones whom we both enjoyed "he stopped loving her today --- they placed a wreath upon his door". God bless you my T-Bone and I will love you till the day I die. Your Betsy

Dad-thanks for being such a wonderful father-in-law.Your garage full of tools was always available to me as we'll as your help and "how to"guidance. I'm so happy we got to spend your last few months with you in our home I just wish it would have been longer and you had gotten well again. As bad as things got,you never once complained. I only hope when my time comes I can face death with the same bravery and dignity you showed. We miss you and love you. Jerry

Daddy
I learned so much from my Dad over the years. His values, faith and belief that this is the greatest country on Earth and with all its troubles was worth fighting for. There was nothing my Dad could fix or build. He loved showing you how to do it the right way. He thought me to lead by example and from the front. He showed me how to give up my seat in church to the little old lady, and stand up straight without ever leaning on the wall. How to bend my knees so I wouldn't pass out while standing for hours in the heat, and how to do it all with a smile and never complain. I love and miss you Daddy. Love David .

There are so many things that I can see and feel as if they had just happened. They are good memories, something I will always have to cherish. It isn’t often in our lives that we come across someone so special that that person stays with you forever. Grandpa was that kind of person. No matter how many times he was knocked down or made to endure things that no one should, there were never any complaints or bitterness. His caring nature, his great spirit, his strength and positive attitude, he was inspiring.
It’s the little things that seem to stand out the most— I remember baking him lemon bars and running them out to him in his RV. Teaching me how to play dominoes. Eating banana cream pie at the rest stops. The Road Trips and all the hilarious moments. Grandpa never got worked up and I’ll never forget driving into the crazy New Jersey traffic with the drivers around us having so much road rage and he snapped. I can still picture him yelling at the car from the front seat with his New York Italian accent “For Gods sake, I’m trying to bring my grandchildren to see where we grew up and this is how you show them!
What we inherited from him cannot be damaged, destroyed or lost. It is permanent, and it keeps him from becoming just a wonderful memory. It allows him in so many ways to remain just as alive as always—alive through us.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
I love you Grandpa, Always & Forever.
Erin

I remember most our fun adventure from Miami to New York , it was full of stories from long ago and amazing memories we created. Grandpa always made the best of everything situation and was in the best of spirits the last couple of months making the most he could and always smiling and cracking jokes. I loved him so very much and I will miss him a lot ! Grandpa we will meet again one day. Love you Meaghan

Grandpa, I am so blessed God brought you back into our lives. I loved having my grandpa around these past couple months. I'm so glad my children got to spend time with their great Pop Pop Rola. They got to know the funny, lovable, story telling grandpa that I knew. I'll be sure to keep your memory alive in their eyes and in my heart. Even after all you went through you never complained once and always still had a great sense of humor. The day before your last, when you could barely get any words out, as your sons pushed you in your wheelchair up the grass you still made sure to let them know to "watch out for dog poop". Only you grandpa would think about that, haha:) I love you so much and will miss you tremendously! Please watch over us:) May God bless you xoxo

To my dad,
Thank you for all the life lessons you taught me not only through your words but through your actions. Thank you for always being there giving me your support when I needed you the most. Thank you for your wisdom, guidance, generosity, respect, security, and most of all your unconditional love. Dad you were a fine man who loved his country, family, and fellow brothers and sisters beyond the call of duty. You were an unselfish man that lived life with dignity and pride. Thank you for fighting until the end so that we could all be together one last time for Father’s Day. I will miss you Dad rest in peace with our Lord. We will all be together again soon.
Love your baby
