Antonio (Tony) Brusco (58 years old) passed on May 21, 2020. Born in New York, he spent most of his life in South Florida where he met his love, Rory Spence. Tony had many friends and family members who loved him. He always greeted them with a big beautiful smile, hugs and sometimes a meal he skillfully prepared, if you happened to be at the family restaurant. He was a wonderful chef. He loved to ride his motorcycle, the outdoors and had a special fondness for animals (and they reciprocated). Tony is preceded in death by his love, Rory Spence and father, Joseph Brusco. He is survived by his daughters Sarah, Sophia and step-daughter Amanda Spence (Tomas) Carroll, sister, Maria (Nunzio) Osso, brother, Frank (Elsa) Brusco. His nephews, Joseph (Jade) Osso, Frankie Brusco, nieces, Elisa (Calogero) Ilardi, Mia Brusco, step-grandchildren Harper and Rory Carroll, great niece and nephew Allyssa Hunter, Eliana and Luca Ilardi and aunts, cousins and numerous friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Hi, My name is Scott Marischen. I enjoyed Tony's company on many occasions. We broke bread at my home and his. We attended a wedding and went to a restaurant warehouse to buy equipment. Both very funny occasions. His company was always comfortable. We talked over all kinds of things at the Baja and it was always a pleasure to see him there and to be able to hang with him. One day Tony said "Hey you mind if I send you and email with a joke?" I told him I didn't like wasting time reading emails when I was working, but I said only if it's really good. He said "Don't you worry about a thing" He sent me really great funny stuff that put a smile on my face. Tony is a good guy and I will miss talking with him. Until we meet again-Peace to all his family and friends.
An Irish Blessing for all:
May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

Tony- I will always remember you as the "little brother" I never had. The memories of you are happy ones. Your walk in this life was profound and I will always remember our talks. Each footstep a giant journey and a great mark on this earth. Your journey has ended and now you are with your loved ones who were waiting for you in heaven. Rest in peace my sweet cousin and "little brother" Tony.
Love you always,
your cousin,
Helen.

Today, you are being laid to rest, dear cousin. Still can’t wrap my mind around it. I’ve known you since the day you were born. So many memories of our days in NJ - like the time you and Frankie hid in the back of our station wagon on our drive back to our house... only for my parents to find out you were there once we arrived home. I don’t think either sets of parents were too happy! Or the time we labeled each of our feet with a distinctive smell (I recall I was cheese feet but can’t remember what aroma we gave to you!) Oh, dear Tony, Rest In Peace dear cousin. Say hi to Gloria (and the rest of our loved ones) for me. Until we meet again...love you ❤️

We are sending our deepest condolences to the entire Brusco family.
We are saddened beyond words to have learned the news of Tony’s passing.
I have such funny and great memories of Tony from the time I worked at Brusco’s in the 90’s and afterward. He used to call me” Panicin’ Carla Panicin Carla” and we always laughed about the private joke we had regarding the reason he called me that.
I think everyone who knew Tony had a “thing” or private joke that they shared together. My sister Lisa had “ I’m in the loop”. George Brooks.. “ The Big Razzoll”.
That means Tony was thoughtful enough to really listen to what you where saying or paying attention to what you were doing, enough to create a private joke or attach a name to you to and share a laugh that only you and he understood. I find that remarkable.
With our deepest condolences, Carla & Jay Gillespie.♥️

My deepest sympathy to the entire Brusco Family!

Although I only knew Tony for a short time, there was a strong bond between us that was deep and immediate. That said, I am truly saddened to hear of his passing.

God speed to all who were touched with Tony's spirit, and to all of the members of his family. May God give you all his comfort at this time, and help to mend the broken hearts.

Rest in Peace Tony!
