Art was a man who engaged people wherever he landed. From Chicago, IL, to Cleveland , Tenn., and eventually Florida, he made new friends. He could be assertive, (thus his nickname in later years was “King Arthur”) but he always made an impression and long lasting relationships.
He had two wonderful ladies in his life. Mickey, who passed away in 1993, and Harriett who he had the blessing of sharing his last 20 years.
His passion: Da Bears and the Cubs. Lifelong fan, and kept all of us up to date as to the success and failures of each team. He also loved tennis and continued to compete up until the last 4 years. Oh, and that occasional Martini was a must.
He’s up there somewhere, telling a joke or two, and stating “don’t trade Bryant and it’s a beautiful day to play two.”
He is survived by his only child Danny, his wife Harriet, his daughter in law Mary, and two grandchildren Stacia and Ryan.
He will be missed.
