Benjamin "Kelly" Sisk, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, died with his wife at his side on September 9, 2024. Born on September 30, 1950 in Crab Orchard, West Virginia, Kelly moved to Florida in 1953. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rexine Sisk, and is survived by wife, Joy, and their children: Shane (Kristen), Eric (Marci), Chris (Erika), and Ashley (Heston) and 10 grandchildren.
Kelly’s identity was being a child of God, a loving husband, and a devoted father, in that order. His life was focused on his faith and his family. He knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Kelly never claimed to be perfect but walked his faith doing ministry throughout his life; camp dean, choir bouncer, pageant guard, deacon, discipleship group leader, and “whatever is needed I'll do it” were some of his best ministries. Kelly loved people and, though his presence was large, he had a disarming smile that brought people together and made them feel at ease. Kelly’s legacy is wrapped up in the many people he discipled, starting with, but not limited to, his family. Those who know him are confident that on September 9th he was greeted home with the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
