

passed away peacefully on Monday evening, April 16, 2012 at the Village Glen
Dementia Care Unit of John Knox Village, near her home. She was born on June 7,
1925 in Wellsville, New York, the oldest child of Clarence R. and Alice Gardner
Christman.
Beverly graduated from Wellsville High School with its Class of 1943, and studied
merchandising at Syracuse University, where she met the companion with whom she
would share the rest of her life, John D. "Bus" Bradley of Bolivar, New York. They were
married in Wellsville on April 21, 1946.
Making their home in Bolivar, Bev was a member of the Guild of the Episcopal Church
of Our Savior, the Bolivar Country Club, and the Cuba Lake Yacht Club. She served as
a Cub Scout den mother, a Brownie troop leader, and enjoyed golf and skiing. She was
an original member of "Fahrner's Fearless Followers," a skiing and social club based in
Ellicottville. She was a renowned cook, enjoyed entertaining and, in her earlier years,
playing bridge. In 1983, she and her husband relocated to Sea Ranch Lakes, FL,
where they lived until recently, spending the warm weather months at their second
home on Cuba Lake.
Bev is survived by her husband, and by three children: George C. Bradley of Miami
Shores, Florida; Marcia D. Bradley of Madison, Wisconsin; and Deborah B. Arzberger of
Asheville, NC. She was predeceased by her first child, Mary Priscilla. Bev is also
survived by both of her sisters, Joanne "Pidge" Daily of Wellsville, and Nancy Cotton of
Covington, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three
nieces.
There will be no visitation. Internment, in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar, New York, will
be at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's
Association, the Bolivar Free Library, Bolivar's Pioneer Oil Museum, or to any
organization donors consider appropriate.
