Carole Lou Kilgore

Carole Lou Kilgore, age 81, of Clearwater, Florida went to be with Jesus Sunday, October 1st, 2017. Carole was born on February 2nd, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio. She was a loving wife to Charles (Chuck) Kilgore for 60 years. Carole and Chuck moved to Pompano Beach, Florida in 1959 where they found their church home at First Baptist Church Pompano Beach and lived a Godly example there for 35 years. She served as a Sunday school and ladies Bible study teacher, served on the pastor’s search committee, led the ceramics class for 7 years, along with various other committees and ministries.

Carole committed her life to her first love, Jesus, and glorified Him daily. Her heart was happiest when she was teaching God’s Word, and encouraging His people. She was a friend to many and a life-giver to the hurting and broken-hearted. She had an amazing ability to look past the faults of people and recognize their needs. She was the epitome of a prayer warrior, with a thriving and devout prayer life. Because Carole was committed to mentoring and teaching others daily, her legacy will live on through them as a faithful follower of Christ.

Carole was passionately devoted to her family as an adoring wife, mother, sister, mother-in-“love,” grandmother, and great-grandmother (Mimi). Carole is survived by her loving husband Charles (Chuck) Kilgore; her sister Suette Weathers; her three faithful sons Ed (Julia) Kilgore, Craig (Angela) Kilgore, and Curtis (Tiffany) Kilgore; her seven treasured grandchildren Robert Champion, Emily Carole Kilgore, Courtney (Matt) Cain, Mackenzie (Ryan) Castle, Abigail Kilgore, Baylee Kilgore, and Brody Kilgore; and her great-grandson Liam Castle. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends at 10 AM with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 11 AM. Services will be held on Friday, October 6th, 2017 at First Baptist Church Pompano Beach, 138 NE 1st Street, Pompano Beach, Florida 33062.
