Carolyn Ann Sylvestri, a devoted woman of faith, loving wife, cherished mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, passed peacefully on February 18, 2026, surrounded by the love she so generously gave throughout her life.
Born on January 17, 1943, in New York, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Louise Cali. She was raised in Pelham, New York, where her strong values, deep faith, and love for family were firmly rooted. In 1977, she and her family relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she built a beautiful life centered on service, family, and faith.
Carolyn shared more than 65 years of marriage with the love of her life, her devoted husband, Dominick Sylvestri. Their marriage was a testament to commitment, partnership, laughter, and unwavering love—a true example to all who knew them.
A hardworking and dedicated professional, Carolyn spent many years in retail, retiring as a retail manager for Syms after 20 years of service. Never one to slow down, she continued her calling of service by working for over a decade at Abundant Life Christian Academy, where she touched countless lives with her kindness, encouragement, and Christ-centered heart.
Faith was the foundation of Carolyn’s life. She was deeply involved in Abundant Life Church, where she faithfully served in numerous ministries and lovingly founded the “Young at Heart” group—creating a space for fellowship, joy, and spiritual growth. Her walk with God was evident in her actions, her words, and the love she poured into others.
Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband, Dominick Sylvestri; her brothers, Joseph Cali (Debbie) of Wisconsin and Jack Cali (Betty) of Georgia; her sons, Anthony Sylvestri (Donna) of Coconut Creek, Gary Sylvestri (Alisha) of Georgia, and Greg Sylvestri (Angel) of Coconut Creek. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and the joyful great-grandmother of ten great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense happiness to her life.
Above all else, Carolyn will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her selfless heart, her devotion to family, and the love she freely gave to everyone she encountered. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and family will live on through generations.
A private service will be held for the family.
