Despina S Papantonatos

Despina Papantonatos was born on February 10th, 1936 in Paros, Greece. Despina was one of 10 children and married her late husband, Konstantinos, in 1952. They packed up and left their life in Greece behind in March of 1966 and she never stopped working hard to pursue a better life for her 2 children and the generations to come.

Despina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was a talented seamstress, a wonderful cook and adored by all who knew her. Despina is preceded in death by her husband, Konstantinos and her son, Nikolaos. She is survived by her daughter, Anna, her grandchildren, Jennifer, Lea and Deana, as well as her great grandchildren, Nikolaos, Andrew, Nelson and Juliet, and her brother, Dimitri.

Despina passed away peacefully on April 24th, 2022 after a life full of love and service to her family. Services to honor the life of Despina will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Ft. Lauderdale at 11am on May 4th. A committal service will occur Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064.
