A native of Kansas City Missouri D.J. enjoyed rooting for the Florida Gators, fishing, tennis, flying and family reunions. A decorated combat veteran of WWII D.J. piloted a B-24 liberator bomber completing two tours of duty in Europe.
After the War D.J. enjoyed working for Weil Clothing, Montgomery Wards, Boise Cascade, Federal Department Stores, Wickes Furniture and Levitz Furniture.
D.J. is survived by his spouse Margaret (Gerry), daughter Liz Harry, son Donald Joseph Jr., son Charles Robert (Bob), son Alan, cousin Bev Arnold, step son David Huskey Jr., step daughter Amy Cornforth, adopted honorary daughter emeritus Nida Tuel and his faithful dog Lucy.
