What happy positive person aunt Dorthy was. She always had a smile on her face and was so glad to see you. We feel fortunate  that we got to see more of you guys the last few years. She will be greatly missed. Good night Godmother.

Dear Earl,

Dorothy was my godmother and she remembered my birthday with very special gifts for the first 12 years of my life.  It always made me feel special, not just another kid in a family of 11 kids. I will keep you in my prayers for the next year, knowing the first year is always the most difficult.

Uncle Earl,

I will never be able to think of Aunt Dorothy without a smile on my face.  Both of you have always been bright stars in my life--from the time you stayed with us after you left the service until last summer at the Jensen picnic.  You showed us enduring love--(and how a real man kisses his bride).    

Aunt Dorothy had a life of joy and laughter.  Most of all she had you.  Thank you Uncle Earl.  Thank you Aunt Dorothy.

I was remembering your trip to visit us in the farm fields of Ohio.  You and Aunt Dorothy brought Natalie and Neil and it was such a special time. I enjoyed it and getting to know you all.  We laughed and had fun!  I love you!  Kelly Jensen

Kelly and I are deeply saddened about Aunt Dorothy's passing.   She is such a wonderful person.  Thinking of her and talking with her always brings smile to my face.  Perhaps that's because I've never known Aunt Dorothy not to be smiling herself.  She is truly one of the most delightful persons to be around.  Know that we are praying the Lord God will supply you all with comfort, peace, hope, and assurance of Aunt Dorothy's eternal life in Jesus Christ.

My heart is so full of sorrow.  Our family has been so blessed with health and long life that I fear I have grown too comfortable with that blessing.  I cannot express my sadness enough in hearing about the loss of my dear Aunt Dorothy.  To me, you and Aunt Dorothy always represented the evidence that true love exists.  And that it is possible to enjoy a long marriage filled with fun and vibrancy!  Such 'hay', you two made, right!?  I know Aunt Dorothy would not want sadness to permeate her remembrances, for she loved and lived life to the fullest extent!  I will miss her terribly.  But, for me personally, I will always remember her as a ball of energy with a knowing sense of mirth behind that twinkle in her eye. "Watch over us Aunt Dorothy, just as you did in life.  You will be dearly missed."

I send my love to you, Uncle Earl.  And to my cousins Carol, Brian, David and Gary, I'm so sorry for the painful and unexpected loss of your mom and your children's grandma.
