Eileen was one of the first people I met when I became a ‘snowbird’. She was welcoming and kind. We eventually became tennis partners on the silver thatch team. She was a great tennis player with a real determination to do her best, with only fair play and good sportsmanship as her guide. Eileen was a good friend with a kind and generous spirit. I will miss her smile and dry sense of humor. She will be missed by many. Sincere condolences to Michelle and the rest of the family.

Eileen was a wonderful and youthful person. Although her daughter is my age, when I was around Eileen at the many Anania parties I felt like we were the same age. Always smiling, laughing and warm. She will be missed.

Eileen was a pretty cool and comfortable person for the most part, but when it came to tennis....She wanted to win. Especially Ft. Lauderdale Tennis Club. She was to determined to beat that team. Didn’t happen but we got to a tie breaker last time. She even had a “drink” at lunch that day! She will be missed by all!

Loved playing tennis with Eileen — except for that wicked slice of hers! Silver Thatch team playing will never be the same. Heaven gained a wonderful person. She will be missed but not forgotten. Her courage and faith after receiving her diagnosis was amazing. RIP Eileen
