Emily L. Battaglia, age 83 of Margate, Florida passed away on January 21, 2024. She was born July 18, 1940 in Monongahela, PA to Frank and Millie Tesznar. She married her best friend Anthony T. Battaglia, in June of 1960 who preceded her in death in 2011. Emily was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and brought great joy to her family. Emily loved the holidays when her family was all gathered together. Emily is survived by her brother Philip Tesznar (Francis Tesznar, spouse), and sister Marie Rulnick, her children Peter J. Battaglia, Elizabeth M. Metz-Gunin (Jason S. Gunin, spouse), Steven M. Battaglia (Pauline C. Battaglia, spouse), granddaughters Anna M. Battaglia and Christina P. Battaglia. Emily was daughter-in-law to Rosario and Mary Battaglia, sister-in-law to Polly Manning, (Emmett Manning, spouse), Sara Lockard (Ronald Lockard, spouse), and Joseph Battaglia, (Norma Battaglia, spouse). All of these she loved and touched deeply. Her life will be celebrated Friday morning January 26, 2024, with a Christian rite of burial Mass at 10:00am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Coral Springs.
