Eugenio Degollada

He is survived by his devoted wife Maria Degollada, who he been married for 60 years. They had 2 children, his son Maurice Degollada and daughter Claudia Degollada Bussone. He also has 4 grandchildren Marissa Degollada, Jonathan Bussone Degollada, Alexis Bussone Degollada and Alexandria Bussone Degollada, who passed away on 09-08-2000. Eugenio was predeceased by his parent Jose Eugenio and Aida Degollada; survived by his sister Cecilia Degollada Briones.

Eugenio Degollada was born on September 3, 1938, in Santiago, Chile. Our father was the most hardworking man we ever known. As a young man he started his own motorcycle shop in Chile at the age of 17. He aspirations were to come to the United States. In 1968, his dream came true. He brought our family to Queens, New York and got his first job working for the New York Police Department fixing motorcycles. However, his dreams didn’t end there. That’s when he went off to work for Volkswagen of North America as a painter for a few years. He decided that he wanted to open his own auto body shop in New York, and this is how Stuttgart International Auto Body began… Years later, he decided to move us to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He continued with his auto body shop where his passion became fixing Porsche’s and remained repairing them for almost 50 years. He accomplished a State-of-the-Art auto body shop exclusive for Porsche cars.

Beside his obsession to be the best at his work, his true passion was his family. His pride and joy were his grandchildren. He loved watching them growing up. He loved to travel the world with his family, he enjoyed cooking and loved his Chilean wine. He was a fanatic to soccer, he loved his Chilean team and Barcelona team where his father was from Barcelona, Spain.

Our father was amazing, loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. Who we will always remember, love, cherish and miss. Our father was a legend and always will be remembered.
