Frederick L. Sorbello

Fred Sorbello died peacefully in the early evening of Friday, September 16, 2022, from a combination of lung cancer and COPD. He was never one to complain and always kept a positive outlook and a serene composure. His good natured way will surely be missed.

Fred was born July 14, 1938 in Boston , Massachusetts and lived there with his family enjoying local activities and always very active in a variety of sports. He attended local schools, summer boys' camp at Squam Lake, NH and Northeastern University. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, earning some awards and honorable discharge.

After duty in the Army, Fred returned to Boston and subsequently married Rona and had three children of whom he was especially proud. While busy raising his family and helping Rona to build new homes, Fred achieved all his goals working in the electronics industry. He quickly built the respect and admiration of those he worked with throughout the industry.

During time away from the job, he and the family enjoyed their home on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough, NH. Everyone had fun on the boat or water skiing and sometimes snow skiing during snowy winter months.

After moving to Hillsboro Beach, FL in 1994, Fred became active as a realtor at the Ivan J Smith R.E. office in Pompano Beach. At other times he liked to relax on the condo balcony watching the ocean and sandy beach. On Sunday mornings, he attended services at St. Gabriel's Church in Pompano Beach.

Fred always lead a full and contented life, trying to always make the best of every situation. He achieved much with his kind ways and will be truly missed by his wife; his children, Joan Evette and her husband Rob and children Robert, Nicholas and Jenny; Fred's son, James Frederick and his wife Dee and their children Brittney, Mickey and Brooke; and Fred's daughter, Janis Lynne and her husband Bob and their children Andrew and Avery.

Fred will always be in our hearts.
