Harold is survived by his daughter Jodie I Dukes and three sons Louis Joel Morrison, Tracey Phillip Morrison, Gregory Richard Morrison and 8 grandchildren Amelia, Evan, Corey, Sarah, Alan Jeffery (AJ), Alyssa, Anna and Austin.
Harold was born in Springfield, MA on February 19, 1930 to his late parents Isidore Irving and Addie (Ansell) Morrison. Hal was an only son and graduated from Springfield Technical High School (Class of 1947) in the east part of Springfield. During the summers Hal and his best friend Paul Birman would go to YMCA Camp Norwich in Huntington, MA. After graduating high school Hal studied at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and graduated with BA Degree with majors in Economics and Government in 1951. During his time at IU, Hal was part of the first Little 500 in 1951 and PI Lambda Phi fraternity / Alpha Theta chapter as well as enjoying IU sports like football and basketball. Coach Bob Knight was a name his children grew up around and Harold never missed a game if he could be near a TV or Radio. His oldest son Louis, daughter Jodie, and granddaughter Amelia all graduated from his alma mater. His children enjoyed October trips up to Bloomington for homecoming week at IU. After college, Hal worked in Manhattan, New York for the Hartford Insurance Company and lived at the Hotel Paris on Westend Ave at 97th St.
Hal moved down to Florida to study at the University of Miami Law School. It was during this time Hal met the love of his life, Amelia Simons in North Miami Beach, FL. Hal married Amelia on September 7, 1958 in Rochester, New York at the Hotel Sheraton.
Hal's love of the road took his family on many road trips to the National Parks across the western half of the United States and Canada. Hal was also an active TCA member and loved his model trains. One of the main rooms in his house in Margate was his train room which showcased all of his trains. This is one of the hobbies his father (Irving) got him started on and he never stopped collecting them, passing this hobby down to his son, Louis.
Hal opened his own insurance agency, which he was part of all of his adult life. He served as a member of the Board of the Margate Utility Authority from inception until being purchased by the City of Margate.
While being a successful businessman, Harold was first and foremost a devoted family man and he cherished every moment spent with his family.
