Henry S. Steig

On Thursday, October 8, 2020 Henry S. Steig, loving, caring husband, and father of 6 children, passed away at age 69 in Boca Raton, FL after a hard battle with cancer.

Henry was born August 27, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York to Eugene Steig and Libby (Luba) Steig, Holocaust Survivors.

He received his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatry in Philadelphia, PA in 1978.

Henry had two sons from his first marriage Jason Steig and Andrew Steig.

On November 12, 1995 he married Dionisia Gonzalez. They have three sons Aaron Steig, Brandon Steig, Marc Steig, and one daughter Victoria Steig.

Henry was preceded in death by his father Eugene Steig and his mother Libby (Luba) Steig.

Henry had a very funny sense of humor, his passions were chess, movies, basketball, good food, poker, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Dionisia Steig, children, Jason, Andrew, Aaron, Brandon, Marc, and Victoria. His mother-in-law Valencia Estevez-Febles, sister Mindy Steig, nephews Jonathan Mizrachi, Christian Gonzalez, Richard (Richie) Lluveres, and Daniel Gonzalez. Nieces Ally Jimenez and Alexa Gonzalez. His brothers-in-law Raymond Gonzalez and Richard Lluveres and his sisters-in-law Maria Gonzalez, Yina Gonzalez, Olga Gonzalez, Nancy Gonzalez, Kenia Gonzalez, Carolyn Matias, and Rosemary Lugo.

Henry is gone but will never be forgotten. His legacy will continue thru his children and everyone's life he touched.

Henry and I grew up together .We were friends from childhood.Too many memories to ever forget him.Although the cancer was tragic , and he is finally at peace,it remains hard to imagine that he is no longer here.I guess we all need to remember how fragile life can be.Rest Peacefully Old Friend

I didn't know Henry but I know of his struggle with cancer. My deepest condolences to his family. I hope you all can find comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering. His legacy will live on thru his children who spoke so fondly of him. May God comfort you.

HENRY WAS A GREAT GUY, AND HE LOVED HIS KIDS DEARLY AND ALWAYS TRIED TO BE THE BEST FATHER AND HUSBAND. MY PERSONAL MEMORIES AND EXPERIENCE WAS THAT IN RECENT YEARS, I WAS ABLE TO SEE A HUMBLE SIDE OF HENRY IN OUR LENGTHY CONVERSATIONS. I AM A TRUE NEW YORKER AND BEING AROUND HIM REMINDED ME OF BACK HOME BECAUSE HE NEVER LOST HIS TRUE NEW YORKER ACCENT AND MANNERISM. RIP HENRY AND YOUR FAMILY LOVE YOU DEARLY, and YOU WERE GREAT MAN! Today my Dad lost his fight with cancer...

I don’t know what to say or how to say it...Henry was a great man and father. He always went above and beyond for his family...

I’m going to miss him more than words can describe...
