
Herbert Allan Zahn, 86, a resident of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on May 1, 2026. He was born on July 10, 1939, in Bronx, New York, to Murray and Norma (Coldin) Zahn, both of whom predeceased him.
Throughout his life, Herbert was known for a steady kindness and a loyalty that never wavered—qualities that shaped his relationships and anchored the way he moved through the world. With a devoted heart and a steadfast presence, he offered constancy to those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Herbert was an entrepreneur who owned a collision repair shop, bringing dedication and care to his work. His lifelong devotion to cars was more than an interest—it was a defining passion, matched by an appreciation for boats that reflected his enduring enjoyment of what moved, carried, and connected people.
On November 26, 1959, he married Rebecca Panush. Herbert is survived by his wife, Rebecca Zahn; his daughters, Judith Kardos and Debra Nemeth; and his grandsons, Shane Nemeth and Jeremey Nemeth. He is also survived by his siblings, Steve, Barry, and Eileen; his brother-in-law, Don; and his sister-in-law, Ruth. He is also remembered with gratitude by his special friends, Kim King & Family, Sherryl Ladmer & Family, and Marcia Friedman.
A Graveside Service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064, US, on May 5, 2026, at 12:00 pm. A Committal Service will immediately.
Herbert will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection—for the warmth of his spirit, the strength of his devotion, and the faithful loyalty he gave so freely to those he loved.
