OBITUARY
Herman Sheffield
January 12, 1938 – March 30, 2021
Herman Sheffield was born in Dothan Alabama on January 12, 1938 to Johnnie and Lela Mae Sheffield.
He moved to Florida as a teenager with limited education but with a very sharp witted intelligence having the ability to problem solve and invent many things. He was a member of the Masons with a hefty appetite for southern cooking and married his predeceased wife of 53 years, Alice Sheffield. He loved to travel to visit family and friends and when he was not on the open road which he knew very well, he would be watching a cowboy show on the television.
On March 30, 2021 he was called home to be with the Lord but before leaving this earth he reconnected with absent family so that those he would be leaving behind could strengthen one another.
He is survived by his children; Tony Sheffield, Lola Mae Sheffield, Elaine Sheffield,Tarrence Sheffield,(Jolynn) and Michelle Sheffield. His Grandchildren; George Robertson, Checola Robertson, Samuel Pratt, Krystal Robertson, Alexis Lowe, Andre Sheffield, Demetrius Sheffield, Taryn Sheffield, and Tyre Sheffield. His great-grandchildren; Keaira Sheffield, Dra'Nilayh Matthews, Nehemiah Robertson, and Naleah Cherenfant.
He was always helpful, giving and welcoming to share at the drop of a dime. He will be loved and missed by us all.

Grandpa Herman, the only one grandpa I had. I’m truly grateful for you and all the times we got to share 🙏🏾 I remember as a kid going fishing with you and Grandma Goodney, I remember all those Alabama trips. We had good memories as kids our great grand parents where loving and took time with us! They also fed us very good! (Yes grandpa I love soul food I can’t just eat anything) I’m so thankful for you! God bless you, you can rest now. We love you Grandaddy

Uncle Herman,
I can remember when I was a little girl spending the weekend with my cousins at the time I didn't realize that I was spending time with my father figure. I always remembered how you were such a perfect husband, dad and great uncle to me and I will always cherish the time, I had watching you be good to me and the family.
Thanks for everything you instilled in me to want to marry a man just like you.
SIP and enjoy being with auntie Alice 💕 rest easy♥
