Hong Phan, 70, of North Lauderdale, FL, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in My Tho, Vietnam on December 25, 1953. He will be remembered for many things, but most notably, his love for his wife, children and grandchildren.
Hong was a nurse during the Vietnam War and immigrated to the United States in 1984, two years after he and his family made the perilous journey to freedom. With the help of many people, he settled in South Florida with his loving wife, Van, and their four children Tuoi, Tam, Phuc (Taylor), and Thuy. Together, they worked tirelessly to provide a better life for their young family. His sacrifice allowed his children to flourish in their adopted home, living what many can only describe as the "American Dream".
Hong was preceded in death by his son, Tam Phan, and is survived by his wife Van, and daughters Tuoi, Phuc and Thuy. He is the proud grandfather of Mercedes, Emmanuelle and Enzo.
In lieu of flowers, our family kindly requests that you make a donation to your favorite charity or to help the victims of the recent typhoon in Vietnam.
