Isaac Benjamin Thomas

Isaac Benjamin Thomas passed away in Coral Springs, Florida on April 19, 2021 at the age of 91. He is a longtime former resident of Bridgeport and Trumbull, Connecticut.

Isaac, known by most of his friends as “Ike” was born in Cuba on January 25, 1930. He later relocated to Jamaica where he attended school. He was the founder and owner of Bridgeport Restoration Company on 729 Union Avenue in Bridgeport, CT and brought many jobs to the city for over 29 years. Isaac prided himself on providing housing to low income families in Bridgeport and its surrounding cities which he accomplished through his company, Thomas Apartments.

On a typical day, Isaac enjoyed playing dominos with his friends, keeping up with the latest sports, or simply watching the world news. Many will remember him from for his motivational talks, laid back personality, or the many facts he would spew out in the midst of a conversation.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Catherine Thomas, as well as his brother Lloyd Thomas Sr. Isaac is lovingly remembered by his children, grandchildren, one great granddaughter, nieces, nephews, and a host of close cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 8th from 2 pm – 4pm at Kraeer Funeral Home located at: 200 W Copans Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33062. The Services starts at 3pm and streaming live on www.facebook.com/kraeerforestlawn

Burial Service will be held in his hometown in Jamaica.
