It is almost imposible to fill this few lines with everything that Mr. Cooper meant to me. I was very lucky to have the chance of meeting him. Every time he came to the bank, he made our day.! It was if like we were all waiting for him to come in, and lighten all our lives. Everyone would stop what they were doing in order to have at least a second with him. What a memorable man, full with love, joy and strength. He touched my life and he will always be remember!!!

Reading the Obituary and the Guest Book entries, it is so clear how heartfelt and honest the outpouring of love is for Izzy. The difficulty in writing something about Izzy stems from words not being able to fully capture the wonderful way he touched the lives of so many through his love, his joy, his honesty, his loyalty, and his humanity. My father (his older brother) and mother had only kind and loving words when talking to me about Izzy (and that was many decades of kind and loving sentiments)! I will remember Izzy giving me my first swim lesson at age six. I will remember the restaurant battles between he and my father vying over the privilege of paying the bill. And, most of all, I will remember the warm feeling I had every time I saw him.

Every time Mr. Cooper came into the bank it was like time stood still.  Everyone came over to say hello. He always had a smile on his face. I had/have so much respect for him and will miss him greatly.  He was a wonderful man and human being.  My thoughts and prayers will always be with Liz, Justin and Jason and their family.

Hi Liz, Very sorry for the loss of your dad. We didn't know Izzy for a really long time, but He was one of the nicest people (like his daughter) that we ever met. He was "One of the boys" that used to meet at McDonalds, Tamarac, for breakfast. He was just a Pleasure to be around. Miss him a lot. What an inspiration your Dad was to all of us. From his incredible challenging beginnings to his lifelong work ethic, he was amazing. I am so glad he lived close to you in his final years and that he was always the oldest guest at my holiday party. I know you are heartbroken but as time goes on, I hope all your memories and his family legacy will comfort you.

I don't even know where to start.  Inspiration isn't the word....I remember Mom used to say he had been thru so much that anything was wonderful to him.  The great times we had visiting him at Junior's downtown and the hilarious times at your home of course with your Mom are forever etched in my mind.  If only we knew then what we know now...... And he was so very proud of you!!!!  I am so thankful you have your wonderful family to rally around you and to keep the fun stories alive.  Love always, Steph

I've had the privilege of knowing Izzy Cooper for over 50 years.  One of the biggest honors of my life was that Liz and Izzy Cooper often said he considered me his "adopted" daughter.  He was a great man and a true mensch.  I loved and admired him very much, and will always remember what a kind and wonderful mensch he was.
