

He was born April 3, 1928, in Lebanon, Ohio, and graduated from Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati.
He earned both his undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. After finishing dental school, he became a Captain in the United States Air Force, serving as a dentist.
For 35 years, he practiced dentistry in Barnesville, Ohio. He served on various boards in the community and was active in the First Presbyterian Church.
He was an avid golfer as a member of Belmont Hills Country Club and participated in many local and national amateur golf tournaments.
In 1996, he retired to Pompano Beach, Fla. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, served as a deacon and was a Stephen Ministry leader. He continued to enjoy playing golf and bridge and was an avid sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Susanna Smallcombe.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martha, who he married Sept. 9, 1951; two daughters, Mindy (Barry) Tetrault and Pam (Chuck) Armbruster; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A private family burial will take place at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville at a later date under the direction of Campbell Plumly Milburn Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 25 at 2 p.m. at The Pink Church in Pompano Beach, Fla. under the direction of Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
