Jim was born in Bronx, New York in 1946. He gave a lifetime of service to his country, serving the US Army in Vietnam, 20 years with the New York Police Department, and 18 years with the North Lauderdale PD / Broward Sheriff's Office, where he transferred in 1988.
He is remembered in the hearts of all who knew him, as a loving husband, devoted father, resolute brother, family patriarch, loyal friend, and an all around honorable, kind and generous man. He is survived by his wife, Dawn, sons, Brian, Michael (Jodi) and Christopher (Melissa), ex-wife and mother of his children Elaine, his grand children Isabella and Grant, his brother Joe and sister Josephine, nieces & nephew, extended family and dear friends, and his forever loyal dog Lily whom he adored.
We will be celebrating his life at the Kraeer Funeral Home 200 W Copans Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33064 on 22nd January at 11am.
Memorial donations in memory of Jim can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
