Joan Castiglione ,88, a long time resident of Pompano Beach passed away Saturday November 15 after a long battle fighting cancer. She was married to Peter Castiglione Jr. for 63 years until his death in 2010. She worked in retail as a manager of a dress store for many years until her retirement. She was an avid golfer and bowler. She is survived by her sister Sheilah Summers (Gary), daughter Sharon Powers (Dennis Powers), son Peter (Bonnie) Grandchildren Shannon Markel, Kelly Chandler, Meghan Powers, Paul Castiglione, Great Grandchildren Erin Markel, Claudia Markel, Thomas Chandler and Hannah Chandler. The viewing will be Wednesday November, 19th from 4-7 PM. The service will be Thursday, November 20th, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Hospital are requested.Arrangements under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Pompano Beach, FL.
