THOMAS, JOAN RAU, 75, of Sea Ranch Lakes passed away on January 31, 2014. She was born in Long Island, New York. She grew up in Amityville, New York and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 1956, she graduated from Pine Crest School. Joan was a lover of nature, animals and sports. She is survived by her children, Scott (Kathleen) Thomas and Jennifer Marcroft; grandchildren, Stephanie Thomas, Sara Thomas, Christiana Marcroft and Alexandra Marcroft; brother, Howard (Joyce) Rau, Jr.; nieces, Jessica Mader, Vanessa (Jeff) Van Syckle, Erica Rau, Lorelle Rau; nephews, Richard (Beth) Vandera and Michael Rau; uncle, John (Diane) Rau.
