

He was born in Bronx, NY on June 9,1938. Son of Pauline (Nigro) and Clemente DeLucia. He attended New York schools and worked as a foreman for Con Edison Energy Company. He retired to Margate, FL in 1986. He's been a devoted parish member of St. Malachy Catholic Church through the years.
He was a man of God, a proud American and Italian. He was involved with helping St. Jude Children's Hospital, Disabled American Veterans, Operation Smile, Wounded Warrior Project, Mercy Ships, Shriners Children's Hospital & Joe DiMaggio's Children's Hospital.
He lived life with gardening, cooking, financial trading, boating, fishing, dancing, horse racing, and the casino. In his younger years he raised pigeons on the rooftop and then his fish hobby as a retiree. He was a true Christmas lover like the rest of the DeLucia side, but his biggest passion and greatest treasure was always his family.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, his brother Anthony DeLucia, his sister Rosalie Dominicus and her husband Anthony Dominicus, as well as his nephew Clemente DeLucia.
Joseph DeLucia is survived by his son, Joseph DeLucia Jr., his sister-in-law Carolyn DeLucia, his 3 nephews Carmine Dominicus (wife Sabrina), Anthony Dominicus (wife Adele), Anthony Khalife-DeLucia, his only niece & Godaughter Dana Mulé (husband Gary) and their children, his great-niece Valentina & great-nephew Salvatore who were like grandchildren to him.
Visitation will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home @ Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064, US, on June 19, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Kraeer Funeral Home @ Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064, US, on June 20, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
A Committal Service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064, US, on June 20, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
