Joseph M DeTeresa

Joseph M. DeTeresa, 83, of Pompano Beach, FL passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Holy Cross Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. A native of Staten Island, New York, he was a son of the late Joseph and Lucy DeTeresa and the brother of the late Matthew DeTeresa and JoAnn Cocozza. He proudly served in the Unites States Navy and was a Korean War veteran. He retired as a lieutenant in the New York City Fire Department.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothea Brunner DeTeresa, his late wife, Ellie, their three children, Debbie Lanier and her husband John, of Penrose, NC, Walter DeTeresa and his wife, Vivianna, of Coral Springs, FL., Nancy Winburn and her husband, Marty of Ft. Myers, FL; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation including a Catholic service will be held from 4-8 pm Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Kraeer Funeral Home in Pompano Beach.
