Juanita is survived by her husband, James, of Pompano Beach, FL; her children, Dawn (Eric) Fernon of Margate, FL and Steven (Meridith) Hawkins of Coconut Creek, FL; and her grandchildren, Hunter Fernon of Margate, FL , Taylor Hawkins and Matthew Hawkins, of Coconut Creek, FL. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Buford, William, and James Cave, of Virginia; and sisters, Delores (aka Corky) French of Virginia, and Phyllis Brown of Mississippi.
Juanita was born on November 1, 1945 in Harrisburg, Virginia to parents Willie Gilmer Cave and Geneva Alice Lambert. She graduated from Fort Defiance High School in 1964. Juanita worked as a cashier and also as a receptionist for a Doctor's office.
Juanita was a great family woman and loving mother. She married Jim in 1965 and the couple had two children together.
Juanita was a social, sweet and caring woman. She enjoyed her family in every way, the simple things in life, cats and dogs. Her family and friends will always remember her as a caring, compassionate and loving person.
A visitation for Juanita will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. A committal service will occur Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064 followed by a reception at 3:30 PM.
All are welcome to celebrate Juanita's life. Flowers can be sent directly to the funeral home or memorial donations can be made to ASPCA.
