Judith Carson

She was born on February 7, 1938 , in Westerly, Rhode Island, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mildred Saunders. Judy graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1960 and was a 20-year elementary school teacher in North Kingstown Schools, retiring in the late 1990s to Misquamicut, Rhode Island and Pompano Beach, Florida.

She was touched when her students would stay in contact with her in her later years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James F Carson Jr; one son, Brad Carson; one brother, Thomas Saunders; and two sisters, Susan Pont and Donna Levante.

She is survived by two sons, David Carson (Michele) of Columbia, South Carolina and James (Jay) Carson of Lexington, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ferrell (William), Michael Carson (Lila), Brady Carson (Brittany) and Grace Carson; and three great grandchildren, Eloise Ferrell, Nora Ferrell and Crew Carson.

She will be buried at Riverbend Cemetery in Westerly, Rhode Island. A celebration of life will be in Westerly with date to be determined.
