Judith Alison Schieck, 63, died May 8 at her Margate home. She is predeceased by her husband Stephen Schieck, her parents and a brother. Judy was born in Essex, England and came to this country in 1976. She settled in Coral Springs with her husband, became a proud US citizen and a certified paralegal. Most recently she was employed for 20-plus years with the law firm Baker Zimmerman in Parkland . An enthusiastic traveler, Judy loved exploring her newfound country and had removed several destinations from her “bucket list” including New York City, Boston and Chattanooga. She treasured her extended family and friends. She loved the symphony , ballet and the performing arts. She enjoyed fine food and fine wines. For many years she raised Rottweilers. She was all things British, collecting tea cups and entertaining gracefully in her beautiful home. She was exceptionally kind and considerate to everyone. She was survived by her sister- in- law, Nancy Galler, nieces Lisa Watson and her husband Scott, Andrea Vincent and her husband Greg, nephew James Murdock IV, niece Janet Miller, step daughters Melissa McDonough and Jennifer Ashley and a large group of loving friends. The people she gathered around her and nurtured are a testament to a life well lived. A celebration of her life will be held Monday May 14 at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 200 North Federal Hwy., Pompano Beach, Fl. 33062. A visitation begins at 5 p.m.; a memorial service at 6 p.m. A reception follows. 954-941-4111.

Judy was an incredible person. I have never met someone as selfless who gave 110% every single day. Your loyalty to our firm and your 20 years of contributions are something we will never be able to replace. On top of that, you were always our confidant and voice of reason who got us through some very tough times. Over the years we shared so much in both victory and defeat. Through it all you were always our bedrock and foundation. We laughed together every day. Occasionally we cried together also during times of personal hardship, but fortunately we laughed a lot more often. Your contributions to this law firm will never be forgotten. Your warm smile, caring demeanor and friendship will be missed today, tomorrow and for many years to come. Rest comfortably Judy.
