

Judy A. Fritz, age 77 of John Knox Village in Pompano went to be with her Lord on June 20, 2017. Judy was originally from Lima, OH but has lived in the Ft. Lauderdale area for over 45 years. She worked in a number of area hospitals as an x-ray and ultrasound technician. Judy has been very active with the John Knox Village community and was passionate about caring for and spaying and neutering abandon pets in the community. She volunteered with Abandon Pet Rescue, Inc., and with The Hope Women’s Center in Ft Lauderdale. Judy sang with the NOVA Southeastern Chorus and with the New Presbyterian Church Choir and rang bells with the Gold Coast Hand Bells and with the Treasure Coast Handbell Ensemble. She is survived by brothers Stan and Mike and her sister Leslie and by many friends and relatives who miss her dearly.
There will be a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, at the New Presbyterian Church at 512 NE 26 Street, Wilton Manor. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima OH on Thursday August 17, 2017. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Hope Women’s Center (hopewomenscenters.com) or to Abandon Pet Rescue Center, Inc. (abandonpetrescue.org).
