Karin Lilli Snell

Karin Lilli Snell , 82, of Tamarac, Fl passed a way on August 15, 2025 at John Knox Village Hospice. Karin was born in East Berlin Germany on October 20, 1942. She was the loving daughter of Paul and Gertrude Maerz. Karin came to the United States in 1952 with her parents to escape the lingering effects of World War II in Germany. She came here knowing no English and had to learn by going to school every day. Karin graduated high school and also went on to college where she received her certificate to become a secretary. Karin worked for School Board of Broward County for 30+ years where she spent her time as the secretary of the principal.

Karin spent her time loving her family and friends. She loved to travel, visiting many places all over the world. This lead to her love of collecting items from journeys. Karin also loved taking pictures of everything and everyone. She loved going through them and telling stories. Karin lived for music, it was something that made her happy and you could hear her sing anywhere in the house or car while she was doing her little dance. She also had a love for butterflies. She loved going out with her friends, having a great time, and making memories. She had the most amazing friends she shared her life with and was so blessed with love. In her earlier years she loved to dance. My parents would go dancing every weekend and shared the fondest memories together.

She is survived by her daughter Tina Harris and son in law Peter Harris, her grandsons Luis and Nicholas Rosario, granddaughter Johanna Harris, and great grandsons Kayden and Carter Rosario.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Garden Estates, located at 200 W. Copans Rd., Pompano Beach, Florida, 33064. The service is scheduled for August 29, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
