Kay Thorpe

Katherine (Kay) Thorpe went to heaven to be our special ANGEL on May 30, 20l6 after a long, brave fight with Alzheimer's disease. Kay was born in Norwich, NY on November 9, 1926 to LeRoy and Bessie McNitt. She was one of 10 brothers and sisters who are all deceased. Her husband Alan Thorpe is also deceased. She is survived by her 9 children, Al (Debbie), Dave (Andrea), Stephanie, Mark, Jim (Edna), Kevin, Chris (Donna) both deceased, Laurie (Karl deceased) and Jill.. She has over 30 grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kevin, Jr. and Skyler, both deceased.

Kay moved to Florida with her family in l966 and remained until her passing. She was a true Floridian. She was very active in many sporting events for her six boys which took the family to many schools to attend various games, matches and track meets. She was a very caring person who was always there for her family and others in need.

She was also very fond of her dogs and animals in general. She treated them like members of the family.

Kay worked in various types of businesses to include being a waitress, personal assistant, Media Director and purchasor for a marine company. She loved travelling, Bingo, volunteering at her church, First Christian of Pompano and just simply spending time with her large family.

Kay (MOM) will be GREATLY missed by all her children, grandchildren and relatives. We Love You "Up to the Sky!!!"
