Kiki was born August 5, 1948 to George and Anna Karpathakis in Athens, Greece, and she spent much of her childhood in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Shortly after returning to Athens as a teenager, she met the love of her life, John Kapoukakis. Following their marriage in 1969, they embarked on the adventure of a lifetime and immigrated to the United States, where they proceeded to build a life beyond their wildest dreams.
Kiki settled in Lowell, Massachusetts, where she and John raised their two children and built a successful business. Among their many friends, Kiki was always known for her warm nature, her style and her quick wit. They eventually settled in Pompano Beach, Florida, which for many years had served as a fun getaway and eventually became home.
Kiki was many things throughout her life, including a hairdresser, business owner, and community volunteer. Through it all, Kiki truly believed that it was greater to give than to receive and countless people were blessed by her generosity and spirit. However, the roles she held dearest were wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves behind her husband John of 55 years, her son Peter and daughter-in-law Tracey; her daughter Georgianna (Jana) and son-in-law Matt; and her beloved granddaughters: Amelia, Sylvie, Sofia, and Elle. She will be missed beyond measure.
Visitation will take place Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 1:30 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 pm at Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064
