Laura Hugo

Laura Dawn Hugo went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 1, 2026. She was born in the Bronx, New York on October 17, 1938 to Luke and Dorothy Gbur. Laura loved singing in the choir and on radio attending Calvary Baptist Church in New York City. Laura moved to Florida worked in finance and upon retirement she traveled the world. Her deep personal faith and strong witness for Christ inspired many over the years. Laura loved her family and grandchildren. She lived her life filled with love devoted first to God, then to her family and friends.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents Luke and Dorothy Gbur, her brother Rev. David Gbur, and her husband William Hugo, grandson Billy Hugo, and granddaughter Natasha Yousuf. She is survived by her children, William Hugo, Jr., daughter-in-law Marissa Hugo, David Hugo and Tamra Cooney, son-in-law John Cooney, as well as all of her grandchildren Jenna Cenno (Tony), Michael Hugo, Anthony Hugo, Daniel Cooney, Caitlyn Cooney, her great granddaughter Raina Crawford, and Great Grandson Jayden Wilson.
