

Louis-Victor Jeanty, M.D (AKA Loulou), of Kissimmee, FL, a psychiatrist who practiced in Buffalo (NY), Austin (TX) and Fort Lauderdale (FL) departed this life on November 25, 2013 following a long and courageous battle with liver disease. He is survived by his loving and devoted spouse of 25 years Thomas Andrew Gormady of Kissimmee, FL; and his siblings, Wladimir (Maryse) Jeanty, Eddy (Sylviane) Jeanty, Harley (Bernadette) Jeanty, Paul Roland (Ingrid) Jeanty, Helm Jeanty, Gaby (Frantz Kebreau) Jeanty, Remy Jeanty, Milly (Jean-Claude Mondesir) Jeanty. Marie Carmel (Max) Michel, Chantal Cidoine and his cherished aunts, Denise Sterling Jean-Jacques & Jacqueline Moise. He is predeceased by his parents, Roland and Paula (Krause) Jeanty and mother-in-law Anna (Fabozzi) Gormady. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces and grand nephews. Dr. Jeanty grew up in Gonaïves, Haiti and attended school at St. Louis de Gonzague. He came to the USA at the age of 17, graduated from New York Medical College (1984), held his internship at Kings County Hospital (NY) and completed his residency at Lincoln Medical Center (NY). He worked at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center (1988) and began his private practice in Austin, TX. He relocated his practice to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1999. He was an avid athlete (volleyball, tennis, walking and cycling), loved music (Haitian folk songs, opera and disco) and had a passion for brightly colored exotic flowers. In the twilight of his life, he took great pleasure and joy from his walks at the beach and around the grounds at Disney World (FL). A memorial service will be held on December 17, 2013 (11 AM) at Forest Lawn North Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 200 W. Copans Rd., Pompano Beach, FL 33064. There is no prior visitation.
