Lucille Love

Lucille Ann Love, age 81, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on November 24, 2024. Lucille is survived by her three beloved children, John Chechotka, Desire' Hill, and Joy Minasy. Additionally, Lucille had seven adored grandchildren, John Chechotka, Dr. Wesley Hill, Dr. Kristina Chechotka, Karryn Chechotka, Alec Chechotka, Dylan Smith, and Devyn Smith. Six weeks ago, Lucille became a great-grandmother to precious baby, Clyde Hill Josyln.

Lucille was born in Brooklyn, New York to loving parents, Salvatore Joseph Vasco and Cornelia Bruno Vasco. Lucille was a third generation proud American, descended from Calabria and Naples, Italy.

During her early adult years, Lucille was an Executive Administrative Assistant for a nursing home on Long Island. Lucille decided to return to school to become a nurse in her middle adulthood. Lucille worked exclusively with terminally ill and special needs children. This career path demanded a special kind of person - someone with unlimited compassion, patience, strength, and perseverance.

Lucille is best known for her relationship with Jesus Christ. She felt you didn't quite understand if you called her "religious" because she had a daily, personal walk with the Lord. She attended Calvary Church in Fort Lauderdale for many years until she became incapacitated. Her favorite pastor was John Chinelly, who went home to the Lord several years ago. I'm sure she has seen him again. 🙏❤

Lastly, Lucille was a fervent animal lover. She had Dalmatians throughout her lifetime, Dolly, Bebe', Rose, Mr. Big, and a Chow Chow named Red. In her later years, five cats adopted Lucille! They wandered into her yard and captured her heart. They miss her woefully and are grieving too. They are Lucy, Garcon, Amber, Junior, and Little Dude.

Dearest Lucille/Mama, you will be mourned by so many, and life will never be the same without you. We were so very fortunate to have you in our lives as Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Friend, Mentor, Role Model, Heroine, Exemplar, Paragon, Shining Star....... You have our hearts.
