

Marian E. Fetchik, a resident of Deerfield Beach, Florida, passed away on September 23, 2026. Born in Buckhannon, West Virginia, she was preceded in death by her parents, Opal Virginia (Shue) Floyd and John Rush Floyd, and her siblings, Charles Floyd, Pauletta Smirnoff, Deloris Ann Gasser, BettyJo Matherly, Lt. Colonel Hansford (Skip) Floyd, and infant sisters Elizabeth Floyd and Bessie Lenora Floyd.
Survived by her husband Richard, Sr., son Richard, Jr., daughter-in-law Christine, and granddaughter Austyn.
Marian worked at Sensormatic Electronics Corporation from1978 to 2001 as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, President, and Chairman of the Board. As the Assistant Corporate Secretary, Marian worked very closely with the Directors.
She was a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, was a Past Florida Division President, Past Chapter President of the Ft. Lauderdale Chapter and the Palm Beaches Chapter. She held the designation of Certified Administrative Professional, which she received in 1980.
Marian was a member of Quota International and a Past Governor for Quota International, District Twenty-Seven and a Past President of the Palm Beaches Club, working with the deaf, hard-of-hearing, and disadvantaged women and children. She devoted her life to giving to the people who were less fortunate.
Marian was a Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus John A. Hill Council 4955 in Pompano Beach. She was also a two-year President of the John A. Hill 4955 Columbiettes Auxiliary. Recently she became a member of the Margate Auxiliary.
She was a past member on the Advisory Board for Administrative Professionals at Broward Community College, and a member of the Business Partners Advisory Board at Palm Beach State College.
Marian was a member of the first choir at St. Coleman’s Church in Pompano Beach, served as a eucharist minister at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Pompano Beach, and St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Lake Worth.
Funeral services to be held October19, 2026 at Kraeer Funeral Home. Viewing is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM; Mass from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
