

Marie Sylia Lony, a compassionate and hard-working soul, passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on February 12, 1950, in Leogane, Haiti, she was the cherished daughter of Sylvestre Lony and Mariesainte Desire, who have both predeceased her. Marie immigrated to the United States in the 1990s, where she became a beloved resident of Pompano Beach, Florida.
Marie was known for her dedication to her family, serving as the matriarch and a guiding force with her love and support. Her life was marked by her commitment to her family and her role as a hard-working, family-motivated individual.
Marie was a widow and is survived by her daughters, Immacula Moreau Sylverin, Chantel Moreau, Betty Moreau Toussaint, Ester Milfort, and Sherly Moreau, as well as her sons, Dixon Moreau and Yvesadler Moreau. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
A visitation will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home , 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL, on September 5, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 6160 Blvd of Champions, North Lauderdale, FL, on September 6, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Following the service, a committal service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL, from 1:00 pm to 1:15 pm. A repast will follow at the Crystal Lake Recreation Association, 4791 Crystal Lake Dr, Pompano Beach, FL, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Marie Sylia Lony will be remembered for her compassion, resilience, and the love she shared with all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished by her family and friends.
