Age 69 of Fort Lauderdale,Florida passed away on Thursday,July 26,2012 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Gary, Indiana. After high school, she went to work for the FBI in Washington, DC where she meet her husband of 50 years. Later after moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida she became a librarian and teacher at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs for 30 years. Over the years, she was involved in the local community as the secretary of the Sunset Civic association and also head of the local Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT) . She helped form the Davie Boulevard Civic Renaissance Corporation .
She was a wife ,mother and grandmother that enjoyed RV traveling around the Northeast and Canada. She enjoyed painting, gardening ,storytelling and spending time at their country cabin in Georgia.
Survivors:Husband,Leopold;1 son, Lester;1 daughter ,Michelle; 2 grandchildren, Heather and Luke; daughter-in-law, Wesley;1 brother, Walt Lazar; 2 sisters, Sue Lazar and Toni McCoy, and her many close friends
