Matthew was born and raised in Deerfield Beach Florida. He attended Deerfield Elem, Middle and High school. Matthew was known as Sunshine on the football field and at DBHS #BUCKPRIDE. He received a scholarship to Eastern Illinois University for his great athletic abilities and academics. Matthew loved his family, friends, football and fishing. Matt fought type 1 diabetes for 21 years. Regardless of this disease Matthew strived for perfection on and off the football field. He worked hard to be the best at whatever he put his mind to. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Matt's name the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Matthew is survived by his mother Chantel Talley Father Joseph Talley, Sister Brianna Talley, Nana Mary Austin Grandpa Timothy Haggerty. Grandparents Bill and Eileen Talley. Uncles Thomas and Edward Austin, Aunt Jennifer (Chris) Ciasulli, Cousins Luke (Kelly), Bryan, Jared and Katelyn. Many extended family and friends.
