Michael J. Montalto

Michael J. Montalto, age 88, of Pompano Beach, Florida passed away on August 31, 2025. He was born in New York City on April 17, 1937. Michael graduated from Central Needle Trade High School. He was married to the late Gerard N. Winkler.

Michael worked for Cigna Insurance in New York City. He had a love for old movies, live theatre, and dining out. Going to the pool was truly his passion.

He is survived by his sister-in-law Nancy Peet, cousins Anne Vitanza, Carole Daukantas, Frances Sander, William Montalto, Maureen Lollar, Gary Montalto, several 2nd cousins, and many many loving friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his spouse Gerard Winkler, his mother, Providence “Trudy” Montalto, his father, William Montalto and his brother, Thomas Montalto.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Coleman Catholic Church, Pompano Beach, FL on Saturday, September 13th at 10:00 AM. At Michael's request, there will be no viewing or visitation. Please gather at St Coleman's Church for the funeral mass, and then follow in procession to Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Pompano Beach, for entombment.
