

Norma is survived by her three children, Albert (spouse Sheila) Webster, Laurel Webster and Arleen (spouse William) Simmons. Norma was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren, Nikolai Webster-Clarke, Johann (spouse Brandi) Webster, Warren Webster, Kira Chung and Zachary Simmons and a great-grandmother to McKenna Webster, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Horace deSousa, her brother, Vivian Chin and sisters, Hazel Chen and Ena DeSouza.
Norma was born on February 22, 1935 in Kingston, Jamaica to parents Gladys and Cecil Chin. She worked as a bank teller for over 10 years at Jamaica Citizens Bank in Jamaica. After migrating to the United States, she continued her career spending over 20 years at Bank of America. After retiring from the bank, Norma made a 2nd career for over 12 years at Publix supermarket.
In her personal time, Norma was an avid gardener with a remarkable green thumb. She delighted in reading and was particularly fond of crime shows such as Perry Mason and Law & Order. Norma loved cooking her Chinese food and her big pot of Jamaican soup. She absolutely loved great music, would dance all night, enjoyed her glass of whiskey and loved spending time at the beach. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving and caring person.
A morning visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064. A prayer service will follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the same venue. The graveside service will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064 from 12:00 noon to 12:30 pm. A reception will be held immediately following from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Kraeer Funeral Home.
