Pedro L. Morejon

Pedro L. Morejon, affectionately known as “More,” passed away peacefully in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2026 at the age of 90.

Born in Matanzas, Cuba, Pedro made Fort Lauderdale his home for more than 45 years. A hardworking man, he spent much of his life behind the wheel as a dump truck driver. He was especially proud of his CDL license and continued working well into his later years, retiring at the age of 78.

Pedro was a man of deep Catholic faith, strong family values, integrity, and honor. Quiet, kind, and gentle by nature, he was the kind of person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He gave selflessly to others, never seeking recognition or applause. He never complained and could always be counted on to do whatever needed to be done. His heart was always focused on helping his family, and he rarely thought of himself. His steady presence, generosity, and quiet strength were a gift to everyone who knew him.

He was rarely seen without his beloved hat and had a lifelong love of trucks of all kinds, especially vintage pickup trucks. He also enjoyed Westerns and could often be found watching Bonanza, one of his favorite shows.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosa; his son, Pedro Jr., and his wife, Kimberly; his daughter, Marilys, and her husband, Mario; his grandchildren, Erika and her husband, Robby; Chris and his wife, Jenn; PJ and his wife, JoeAnn; and Krystyna; and his six great-grandchildren, Lily, Anni, Charlie, Liam, Myles, and Connor.

Pedro leaves behind a legacy of faith, hard work, humility, integrity, and unconditional love. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who showed his love not through many words, but through a lifetime of being there for the people he loved. He gave of himself freely and quietly, always putting his family and others before himself.

His family will carry his memory with them and be forever grateful for the many years they were blessed to have him in their lives. We will miss him deeply, but his love, kindness, and example will remain with us always.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home @ Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064, on September 2, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at San Isidro Catholic Church, 2310 Dr M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33069, on September 3, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 S State Rd 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068, on September 3, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

Pedro will be remembered with gratitude for a life marked by faithfulness, devotion, and compassion, and for the honest example he set through years of hard work and steadfast love.
