I met you in high school (Ocean View , class of 86').    I was so drawn to you.  You were a "rocker" and so handsome & kind.     We hung out  often & I was amazed what a good listener & how compassionate you were.     We went our different ways (although I wish I would've married YOU).    You had 4 beautiful children., & Spread your love & wonderful personality  throughout your life, touching people you met.

My name is Cora Phipps, I worked with Robert for a year and I got the pleasure of knowing him. He was gentleman very kind hearted individual humble and respectable.Alway willing to help others at any given time, a hard worker with a sense of humor. Robert will be truly missed.

This is how I remember Robert when we were young. He was the best stage manager for our band and this is him doing a sound check on Ben's drums.  A truly unique person and great fashion! That's Chad behind him. We had the most incredible group of friends and it quite honestly revolved a lot around Robert. Miss you bro

Robert and I met when we around 15 years old and went through high school together. Our love for rock and roll brought us very close together as we work together in the band Phayze II where I was the lead singer and Robert was the stage manager. Relentlessly supporting us in our endeavors to become rock stars he always stood in the shadows smiling with never-ending support and love and gratitude. About a year ago we reconnected for the first time in many decades and it was like finding my long lost brother. We spent four or five hours on the phone at a time catching up, giggling and recalling things that each other had forgotten. Robert was more than a best friend to me he was a brother that knew me in ways that nobody else in the world knows me. I will be eternally grateful for the rest of my days and a better person for knowing him. There's no better person on the planet. He was an amazing individual who just had love and gratitude in his heart for everybody and everything in his life. He spoke of his kids very highly and was so proud of them. We spoke as recently as a couple days before he passed and it came as a great shock, one that I'm still not over and I don't know if I ever will be. I lost my brother but I know he's in heaven because he had the most faith in God that I've ever experienced in a human. Robert would giggle and tell me lines from the Bible that he could instantly recall and laugh about both of us being kind of dummies and yet he was able to recall these messages and passages in the Bible with clarity. He was saved and that made a huge impact on him. Most of our conversations eventually ended up with speaking about God and all the good things in his life. He was taken way too young but obviously God needed Robert more than I did. Love you brother with ALL my heart and thank you for making my life full of God, love, smiles, laughter, music, and the most amazing memories I could possibly hope for. I know you'll be waiting for me, see you soon

Robert is an amazing person!  I say “is” because he lives on with Jesus in Paradise.   A great dad, uncle, cousin, nephew, brother, friend and loved so much by all.  His great big laugh and corny jokes will be remembered fondly.  He loved deeply and lived life with humor, kindness,  and a strong dedication to his faith in Jesus.  He enjoyed good food, conversation with loved ones, fishing, and most recently enjoyed bowling with new friends.  He was embarrassed when I called him Robbie in public, but he will forever be Robbie to me. I will most miss the long telephone calls with my brother and look forward to that day when we will meet again.  I love you Robbie. You are so deeply missed.

When I think of Robert, I think about how much he loved to fish.  I think about his smile, and his love for God.  I'm grateful that he was my brother.

Robert was a great uncle and brother-in-law! He was always helpful with fishing and he wanted us to feel welcomed and loved when we visited.

Our family is sending prayers and hugs for the Hefley family. We are so sorry about Robert. He will be missed! Our family has the fondest memories of Robert's involvement and love for all of the kids in Calvary Kids Club ay CCPC. He had a way of telling stories at the kids' level of understanding and always had memorable movements or visual aids when he told Bible stories. Robert made a big difference in our kids' lives.

I want to send my heartfelt condolences to the Robert family. We were friends during high-school growing up in Huntington Beach. He was kind, funny and encouraging to everyone. He had the best head of hair that was perfectly feathered 80’s style.  I can picture him in his leather jacket and handsome smile. I am so sorry to learn of his passing. He will be forever remembered.

I'm so sorry to hear of Robert's passing. Although we hadn't seen each other or spoken in years, he will always be part of my fondest memories. Robert was one of my first childhood friends in Huntington Beach. We then got reacquainted in highschool. Robert will always be in my memories and in my heart.
